Im in the process of finishing my exhaust and I now need to decide on a tailpipe for it. I can use which ever I like as I can just cut it and weld it to make it fit, the rest of the system is a 3" subaru one but dont want the massive tail pipe on it.
So I was originally going to go for a oval but now not to sure.
The back of my car with tailpipe cut off backbox

My favorites out of the ovals was the top and bottom ones.
Would love to do the R32 style but its hassle piping the second tailpipe and I cant afford to buy a R32 rear bumper, cause then id have to get the front to match, then that would look silly with out the side skirts! Ive spent to much sorting the engine for power cant be buying bumpers.......yet.

Do like them think I need to look a bit more into the twin pipes.

if you already have the exhaust from a scoob on it get the oval magnex they did for the scoob
-
I burst out laughing at the exhaust burger!!
Yeah I get what you mean about the 32 exhuast I was lucky and got the bumper thrown in. I think the top oval one is the best :)

Im having to mod the backbox so it will fit the golf so it just the tailpipe I need otherwise id have to mod the new one as well. I trying to keep costs down that why I bought the 3" subaru exhaust using it has cost me £70 for a full 3" turbo back including sports cat plus my time making it so far.
Jack I dont know where you find these things from! Loving the cat one might get it for my missus

Would love to mate but ive just spend a lot building the engine, saving for the map now so cant afford to buy bumpers at the mo thats why a cheap tailpipe will do for now.

could you not fit the magnex oval with a 4mo rear valance
-
Single round but not stupid size :afro:

I could but id have to buy the whole back box at guessing £60-80 where as just a tail pipe is only £10-30

Yeah thats what I will be going for its between the top and the bottom ones of the ovals for me I think.
Day off today so nearly finished the rest of the exhaust anyways.
-
just get a 3-3.5" single round on it will look sleek
-
May now go for this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-Stainless-Steel-Tailpipe-Exhaust-Pipe-Trim-Out-Rolled-Lip-76mm-diameter-tube-/320852627671?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ab44e90d7&clk_rvr_id=322030754711&afsrc=1
But need to measure whats already been cut out of the rear valance as it was an oval before to make sure its not going to look silly. As I said I dont want to have to buy a new valance at the moment
-
How much of the subaru exhaust did you use? What was needed to fit it?
If they fit easily I wish now I hadn't sold my hayward and Scott one I had :z
-
Used most of it plus bought a few 90degree 3" bends. its a complete custom setup to mount the turbo and so needed extra bits for the custom down pipe it wasn't that easy to fit it defo need to be handy with a welder, but it was cheaper for me to do it this way.
-
I was thinking of just doing a 3" pipe all the way through no silencers or resonators, I have a diesel and heard there pretty quiet even with better exhausts..
I dont want stupid amount of noise, just so I can hear it roar when giving it the beans.
-
I wonder what its going to sound like as well once its done as ive kept the middle silencer so will see how it sounds, will be easy enough to take it out if needs be. Hopefully with the big turbo it should sound good.
Nearly done it now a few pictures.
