im not sure if ARZ had a ignition amp!

was there a round thing with 2 plug's on the air box?
Title: Re: BOOST ISSUE IS WORST
Post by: asboGTI on 07 March 2012, 20:51
nope all i could see was the airbox and the maf sensor but this was happening before i fitted its gotta be the MAF sensor seeing as i had a similar issue with a fiesta but that where i completely removed the sensor and didnt even think about it

Post by: Toby on 07 March 2012, 20:52
does it run better unpluged ( maf )
Title: Re: BOOST ISSUE IS WORST
Post by: asboGTI on 07 March 2012, 20:53
will try on the run home but i would of thought that could make it worse in my mind anyway cause the sensor then isnt registaring anything

you say solution is near yet money is a big factor and paydays so far away oh well i have other means to get the money and i only came to conculsion of the maf because i was driving it at the speed limit *cough* just to see if it did the same thing at them speeds and it didnt

i would still check pcv pipe under inlet manifold as i had same probs and had a hole in the pipe bodged it up and then there was a big increase in boost

i had the same issue but with one of the boost hoses, thats why I upgraded to the forge ones. Power difference was quite significant, I suppose they were 11 years old......

but yes, a new maf and replace the hoses would be a decent idea.
