Title: mk3 golf. tie rods for camber ??
Post by: little_miss_naughty on 07 March 2012, 19:08
ive just put 9" borbets all round on my golf. i had to camber the front wheels to stop them sticking out so much at the top, this has made my tracking go toe in,and theres not enough thread on the tie rods to track the wheels back straight.SO HERES MY QUESTION,will mk2 tie rods fit onto a mk 3 steering rack? Because the mk2 tie rods are shorter and would give me enough thread to do the job.

chould in theory sort it  but how much camber have you applyed to cause the problem.

car will likely kill the insides of tyers very quick  i ran -3 deg on track car and unless i drove it like it was on a track all the time the insides of the tyers wore down badly compared to the rest of the tyer.

personaly i'd just run a die down it and cut a bit more thread   ack handed dies arn't cheep tho
