Title: Mk1 GTI Project (MODS, Can you pls move this to chat, dub rides please?)
Post by: acma on 06 March 2012, 20:28
Well I've just started (after months of debating) on my mk1 gti project.

I really wanted somewhere to store my updates and pictures etc, so where better.  I can also ask you peeps on issues when I'm stuck, which I'm sure will be plentiful.

I'm putting a mk3 2l long block, with a g60 head running twin 40's choked down to 32s.  Mahle psitons, low sump, brass valves, kent cam, with vernier pulleys.

Everything on the engine will be new, all nice and shiney

Hope you enjoy as much as I hope to, without all the cuts and swear words a plenty.

Mark

Does anybody know what the hole to the right of the water pump is for?

that engine looks niiice

just a suggestion - you might find this better in the dub rides section... http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?board=45.0 (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?board=45.0) thats where most people put their update threads, or if you don't want people to comment on it then there is the mk1 project section - http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?board=61.0 (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?board=61.0)

or you could knock yourself out and update both
