Title: 8v Wont Run For More Than A Few Seconds

having big problems with my mk2 1.8 gti 8v not running for more than a few secionds. we thought it was the injectors which we have tested and they are fine!!! any thoughts as to what the problem is?

I would say fuel pump is on it's way out (not providing enough pressure) or if the fuel pump is really buzzing loudly, then I would deffo say your lifter pump in your tank has gone

thanks for the reply. we checked the fuel pump tonight and it seem to be fine. on the igntion the fuel is pumped until the reservior is full then it stops. when we ran a direct feed to the fuel pump it pumped fuel through no problem. one thing we did notice was that the was no live feed to the temperature sender, would this make a difference?

u dont have an immobiliser or anything fitted?
