Title: Stupid securing clips

Do all of the cars in the VAG range have the same stupid clips/fastenings as the mk4 GTTDI's, I'm talking about the ones with like the silver horse shoe tiny little metal clip that goes over a plastic bit?

Had to replace 2 on my mums car today as they SNAPPED!? They seem so inadequate and liable to popping off under too much pressure!

Gassssh clips if you ask me.

They are not circlips...similar I guess. nut far inferior to a good circlip.
