I recently brought a clutch from techniclutch (regret regret regret). My mechanic fitted it for me and ever time we attempted to put it in gear its very difficult and makes a massive crunching noise. The thought it may be the slave cylinder and has replaced that but still no avail, he's attempted to bleed it again and again and its making no difference. He thinks there's a chance that techniclutch have provided the wrong pressure plate?
The guy who sold it to me sold it as a "heavy duty" clutch, single mass flywheel and all that hu ha. The flywheel is much less dense than the older double mass one
Has anyone suffered the same problems? Could it possibly be anything that we're missing here? Any advice would be great.

just to add, the kit cost me 270 quid!

But was that the sachs one or techniclutchs own incarnation?

did you get the sachs kit off them? i have just brought g60 and what engine have you got is it a diesel or a petrol?? and techniclutch give warranty with there clutch so give them a message and send back.. also be good idea to compare with your old pressure plate if you think it is the wrong one

ive got an early 1.8 turbo (cable). Ill have a look at the pressure plates when i get to the garage, what would be the problems if the pressure plate was wrong? something like im experiencing?

If it is cable then I cannot see how it has a slave cylinder, might be worth checking the cable, you could also be looking at an assembly issue or faulty clutch.
