Title: FK AK street coilovers
Post by: asboGTI on 06 March 2012, 14:45
i am torn between joms and FK AKs at the moment for when i get paid end of this month amongst everything going on with the ARZ.

i have heard good and bad things aboutjoms left right and center havent heard much about FK AKs so am wondering which are better cause just looking at DPM they are the same price the only difference is that FK AKs need to have postage paid which aint alot so what to people honstly recon dont want to start an arguement just want some facts

No, if you take the arb rubbing issue out of the way, side by side the FK's will let you go lower.

Hay chaps. Just thought I'd pop in on this convo, umm iv been looking at FKs AK streel coilovers. Seen them at DPM.com for good price to. I have been recommended thm by two of
My mates around my area who have them on there dubs so yea. Also I havnt heard anything bad about
Them. Apart from the ride is a lil bit bumpy bump :-P FK would be my choice. Havnt even looked once at JOM's thts my opinion. I I will also be buying them at the end of the
Month hopefull. "£185" p&p included. eBay - venom Motorsport

Cheers Phil.

Fk ak streets have sort of been held back due to quality issues. Damien at dpm said he's had more issues with fk's than joms. I've got joms, there fine, backs dont go that low but i'll be taking my adjusters out soon

will i need spacers with 19" rims?

i'm on 19's with joms, 5mm spacers front et 35 8.5j with 215/35 rubber. Its close.
Regarding failure rate, DPM, Awesome and Venom all said FK failed more than JOM. Jom had a 2 year warranty though dpm whereas Fk was only 1. FK is a better ride than jom but warranty and reliability so trusted the dealers.

+1 2 year warranty through dpm on the jom's is a good deal and dpm are pretty good if they brake dpm will replace them

Should be stamped inside the alloy somewhere at the back of a spoke.

That'll catch, prob wont even turn, you'll want 10mm hubcentric spacers and longer bolts ideally
