Title: PD115 Tax price
Post by: NoCrap on 06 March 2012, 14:12
Hi All,

Hopefully a quick one - how much are people paying for car tax on the PD115?
i only ask due to the DVLA website not actually being able to give me a CO2 emissions figure and also the fact that my Step Dad pays £115 a year on his mk4 tdi 110.

would a few of you be able to take a look for me please?

Ta

Sucks doesn't it - wrote to my MP today on the advice of the DVLA... not that it'll make any difference... makes me feel a little better though

Mine is £215 a year as it was registered 2months too early (Jan 2001)! They implemented the 'new' system for cars registered March 2001 and upwards :undecided:

both my pd130 golf is £115 a year
and my galaxy with vw pd115 engine is £190 a year  both manufactered in the same year

if they are emission based shouldnt they be around the same and if so how come the 115 when fitted in a galaxy gives out more emmisions?????????????  than the same engine fitted in a golf???????

Because its having to pull a much larger car around

i can understand it pulls a bigger car around, but i thought emissions was done with a machine from the exhaust.
i think its all a big scam not just emission based

The bigger car means engine works harder to pull it, the harder the engine works the more emissions you get. Thus priced higher tax.
