Title: do you think i got this cheap

i recently bought a golf gti r reg 3 door 8 v with 73 000 miles for ?3500 do u guys think thats cheap.  And it needs a bit of work touching up  >>ALSO which alloys look the best on mk3 i want it to look shocking. thanks guys

sounds like a good deal as long as you can get the paint sorted out for a good price, bodywork isnt cheap.

As for wheels, I've always liked the MK4 Golf 25th anniversary wheels (the black chrome ones)and think they would look awesome on a MK3. I think the MK4 wheels fit on MK3. anyone know for sure?

when I was looking recently, I saw loads of golfs, and if something was cheap, there was always a good reason for it.

If you checked it out and it was OK then well done, you got a good deal. Otherwise, there may be something in it's history that the owner never told you...
