Title: Air Con re-fresh
Post by: 2007GTI on 01 March 2012, 18:20
hi chaps,

anyone had an air con re-fresh at a main dealer?

they just phoned me offering one for £79, which includes re-gas and full anti bacterical clense!

I believe anti bacterical clense is when you spray that stuff in the car with the air con on and it kills all the nasty smelly bugs and makes it smell like new!

:-)

Had it done on my mk5, but only because it was suffering from that bacterial smell. If you don't have a problem with it smelling, I don't think I'd bother getting it done; VW probably see this as a way to generate some quick and easy revenue!

You can get an ''air con bomb'' off ebay that does a good job.

I always remove the pollen filter 1st (enables better circulation)
