Title: New back exhaust box
Post by: Rob GTi on 24 May 2005, 14:17
Just had 40k service, (1.8t GTi) garage said the bracket is broken on the rear backbox. They have quoted £150 all in to replace backbox and bracket. Does this seem reasonable, or is it just they are ripping me off. Can get it done at a exhaust shop cheaper.
They state the bracket is welded to the backbox, hence the total replacement.
Is it worth putting a Miltek back box on in stead, and how much more extra would it be - any ideas.

I'd upgrade to a stainless one, won't cost you that much more, if any.  Mine from longlife was £140
