Title: servicing - squeaking when i turn steering
Post by: golfball on 27 September 2003, 12:00
im looking to get my golf serviced so can anyone recommend any dealers in/around london and whats the difference between a small/large service (also how much does it cost)

when i move the steering sharply to the left/right while going at say 20-30 i hear a squeaking sound, any ideas what it could be?

thanks

Not totally sure, but i've seen this before and in that case it was wishbone bushes/ and / or suspension balljoint.

Does it make the noise when the car is stationary?

no only when moving the steering wheel sharply.
