Title: photography classifieds
Post by: Luke1981 on 28 February 2012, 20:29: I'm in the process of purchasing an dslr for my birthday. Prob going to go for the Canon eos 1100d as its in my budget and I am looking forward to getting some pics posted!

If this question has been asked before please forgive me, what are the moderators views on a classified section?

This section is tiny, with a few members. I'd suggest heading to a dedicated photography forum if you want a good choice of photography kit.

Fair enough, I have a basic grasp of photography but want to start experimenting a bit more. It's a bloody mine field on the net with different forums etc. Do you have any recommendations for any sites or literature I could use/purchase?

Post by: T_J_G on 28 February 2012, 21:04: Lots of useful books on Amazon, understanding exposure (or anything by Bryan Peterson) is one of those! Youtube can be very useful for guides on how to do something.

For forum classifieds I use talk photography but it's quite strict on how you trade. Saying that I've never bought off there.

The 1100d should serve you well, welcome to the slippery slope!

That's because you don't post pictures that would *Ahem, normally appear in Amateur Photographer magazine.

Post by: Luke1981 on 04 March 2012, 12:44: Quick update, I have purchased a Canon 1100D from ebay ( boxed and sealed ) with 18 - 55 mm lens, 8gb memory card and custom gadget bag for £310.

Will post some pics this week for you chaps to scrutinise :smiley:
