Title: Ice hockey match in Madison square garden :D

Just found out my gf has got us tickets for a ice hockey game at Madison square garden when we go new York in couple of weeks  :cool:

Never really been into ice hockey but should be a good night, cat wait

Anyone ever been to one? Or been Madison square gardens?

Yes mate its an amazing atmosphere I was there in 2004 when they played against Phili!! which is a great grudge match!!! Ive played ice hockey since i was 8..... What team are the rangers playing against?

Best bit mate is you can drink while you watch :D

Just got back from NY on Sunday but wasnt a hockey match on while we were there and couldn't get tickets for the knicks as everyone is going crazy for a new player they have signed Lin something.  :sad: :sad:

I heart NYC!  :cool: was nout on at the garden when i was there in Oct though  :cry: had a trip over to OCC though which was pretty cool.

I hope you get decent seats... Who you watching? I was out there earlier this year. Few points I will say..

Book your transport from the hotel early, we ended up paying 90$ for a taxi to Newark because we didn't book in advance..

Don't go to the comic strip, the touts do tickets cheap, but you turn up and you have to drink a min of $20 per person and the drinks are mega expensive too.

You will also get to see one of the finest netminders in the world..

Although he aint no Tim Thomas..

My personal opinion is this:

Don't bother with:

Empire state or Museum of Sex. Not worth the money

Do break the island down into sections and not try and cram it all in.

It is VERY EXPENSIVE.. We ate breakfast at one little diner, I had an omlette and OJ and missus had Bacon and Cream Cheese bagel with coffee and it came to 54$.

Check out Century 21 for clothing.

The 9/11 site has a small tribute building where you can get tickets to do the ground zero tour! I suggest you do this!!

Go to the Theatre and see Spiderman! Its the best show I have ever seen! The high-wire stuff is truely awesome and funny!

Dunno new York whatever they are called v no idea lol.

Thanks for the advice looks good. Ye not expecting it to b cheap,not many places are now a days lol
