Just wondering if theres such thing or if anyone has had any experience with this!????
As much as I trust in my car to be fine you just never know whats going to happen, Soon im going to have to take a 300+mile trip so just as a precaution I was thinking about getting some roadside assistance/recovery for the DAY ( Or as little time as they do!?) This is a rare occasion for me to be doing such a long trip normally I do hardly any miles per week hence not bothering with roadside assistance/recovery. Has anyone dealt with anything like this before!?
thanks

did you not get it with insurance?
i paid something like £6 for mine with insurance and that includes 2 free break down recoverys (after that i get charged) and unlimited call outs for them to try fix the car at the side of the road and if they cant the option of getting it towed by them or sorting it out to be recovered myself.
if you didnt get it could be worth looking into.

Just getting the normal AA / RAC cover is really worth it,
I own a Recovery truck & the amount of people that I have recovered who didnt have ay cover is quite a surprise,
For a local call out I charge £30 then £1 per mile for out of a 20 mile radious,
If you break down on the Motorway then you would get charged £150 to be recovered to the next junction

You can get good cash back deals if you use a cash back website such as top cashback for AA and RAC.

Thats what Natwest told me with my Advantage Gold Account. However when I called after the MK3 lump died a horrible death, they said they could do it, but I would be charged as they only cover within 4 miles of home address! I didn't have it with my insurance at the time, needless to say I had to call in a pretty big favour for someone to collect me 80 miles away and tow me back home!
