Title: Streetline Soprts Kit
Post by: Ant on 24 May 2005, 08:43
Having decided that I really need to get the last major faults on my golf sorted (steering and suspension) I'm looking at the Streetline kit.

The blurb on eurocar parts says:
"Each kit contains: 4 x Bilstein 'Original' gas shock absorbers plus 1 x lowered and uprated spring kit."

What I wanted to check is, is the 1x lowered and uprated spring kit mean 4 springs? (doesn't make much sense to include 4 shocks and 2 springs, but as most springs are sold in pairs, I just wanted to double check).

Thanks in advance.

Got the streetline kit from ECP on mine but in mk1 guise, it is indeed 4 bilstein shocks and you do get 4 springs made by Ventura, not a well known make but apparently Ventura also make springs for other more expensive brands  If you are buying the streetline kit make sure you go through Stuart at the Leeds branch of ECP as he will give you 10% discount for using this site. If you need to know anything else about the kit let us know.

I fitted a sprintline kit on mine as I thought while I was about it I might as well upgrade it with gas shocks .The price difference wasn't too bad. I couldn't quite run to coilovers but in hind sight maybe I should have .( Mind you the sprintline kit is a great improvement... not bad for trackdays)
