Iv got a MK4 im having a look at right now, and the drivers rear window was inop. So stripped it down bla bla bla, and found the linkage and motor were okay.
But what im missing is the pin that goes through the glass and the bracket to hold them both together, can you buy this seperatly? Or should i just silicone it in place?
Thanks in advance

if your talking about what i think you are it isnt a pin going through the window, its just a screw to pull the two plates togeather to grip the window.
-
Yeah, just the thing that holds the window to the linkage is what im after.
Any idea if you can buy them?
Cant seem to find any on the bay

its just a 10mm bolt innit?
-
No, the front are torx bolts. The rear is quite a large unthreaded hole, theres a hole in the glass too.

ah sorry didn't see that you said rear. There's a pin that goes through the window and reg, part number is 6N0839511. Then its just a stubby M6 bolt to hold it together.

really, on mine i cant remember the bolt going through the window. hmm ah well, sorry to miss-inform you.
