Thinking of going stainless. What is recommend by you guy's the experts.

What sort of price would I be looking at?.

I'm in Manchester can anyone recommend a good garage in my area?.

Cheers Gareth.

Scorpion seems to be a popular choice with mk2 owners, I've just had a Powerflow put on my mk1 and got no complaints with it so far. Prices I guess are 200 - 300 ish but don't know anyone in Manchester.

Just had a powerflow put on mine, and i have no complaints about it either, but they are few and far between workmanship wise.

Longlife seem to be good.

As gib said they seem to start at around £300 for a mk2 system, not including downpipe.

I've always had Magnex & Scorpion on my cars. Never any problems. When I've tried others over the years (similar big brands) I've had fitment problems, design faults or bad workmanship and end up taking them back.

AwesomeGTI could be worth a visit in Irlam, but you might be better off going to a decent little exhaust & tyre specialist, see if they can order you a system in. There's loads around Manchester.

btw, if you do go for a powerflow, then ask to see some examples of previous work, they have been getting a really bad rep recently due to poor workmanship, but it seems very dependent on where and who is doing it.

I found a guy in a little estate that did them in staffs, and his welding was top notch, no bubbles or lines anywhere.

Don't rush into anything make sure you see previous work first.
