its a sprinter van in disguise

with a vw powertrain

the engines are grunty but suffer injectors fails occasionaly   mine died because it cracked its pistons and lost compression.  had done 225k km tho

2.8 4 cyl motors are unavalible  5cyl is optimal  plenty of bits and common

As said, Sprinter in disguise. Reliable and a good work horse. Engines are strong and pull well. Not aware of any rust issues???

Dad has one.

Bit of turbo lag which can be annoying at times but when they start pulling they do pull well. Not too bad on fuel. As usual they do MAF's so watch put for disconnected ones, not that it makes them much better.

Just check they have had their oil changed regularly.

They DO NOT have Transporter/Caddy build quality and watch round the windscreen especially and everywhere else for RUST.
