Hey guys, my 10,000mile service is due, booked it in for a full service and "engine flush + additives".
Anything else I should get whilst I'm there?
-
I wouldnt do an engine flush myself.
-

Nice one lads, just stoppede from making a big mistake!!
-
if you really want it flushed just buy some cheap oil and poor it through so it comes straigh out then put some good oil in it.
-
I just thought it would do it good I don't think it needs it, it runs smooth as hell

would just be a waste of oil, keep on regular changes using good oil and you need never worry about things like this, prevention better than cure

Yeah I'm oil from vw, was 25 quid or something and it's been serviced at main dealers all it's life!
I was being a noob obviously haha
-
Why Awesome? They're nice and friendly like, but the price they're going to charge you, you might as well bend over whilst you're at it!
-
I just got recommended by them, was told they were really good!
-
had mine done at awesome i also refused engine flush after reading on here, I will be going back to awesome for my breaks and bushes done there the only garage that i have walked out with no problems from lol the nice waiting room with viewing window and free coffee was good too

Oh they're good, but it'll be 25% of the cost to do it yourself. Plus at your cars age garage services aren't going to do much for re-sale value.
-
Yeah I understand that, i just want to make sure it's looked after no matter how much it's worth :)

Well in that scenario then you won't do any harm going to Awesome. I had my cambelt done there and they were excellent :afro:

That's good to hear then! Probably get tempted whilst I'm there!
