Title: RCD 510 - What do I need for DAB?
Post by: 343JI on 24 February 2012, 21:49
I have just replaced my RCD310 for an RCD510 (DAB) in my MK 6 GTi.  What connections/aerial do I need for DAB and is it worth doing? (compared to standard FM/MW)

thanks

Having DAB will enable you to pick up digital only stations as well as the normal AM/FM ones. I tend to only listen to local radio or Radio 2 and find the non DAB radio perfectly acceptable. I had a Golf Match which had DAB a few weeks ago, and listening to FM, didn't notice any difference at all.

I guess it depends if you want the digital stations as well.

Thanks - assumed there wasn't much difference so probably won't bother
