If it was me and my cash? Leon all the way I'm afraid. More car and IMO better looking to boot.

Evo have been pretty clear that the Golf6 is significantly better handling-wise than the Leon.
Also my parents have a Leon of which I have spent significant time behind the wheel.
It's a good steer, but the trim quality and durability is pish.

I had a hire car Leon last week which I did 500 miles and 10 hours in in one day. I really liked it apart from the pish engine and box combo.

Interesting read!
If I had to choose a 'new' car (made in the last 10 or so years) it would be a Seat, or at least a Seat would come in the top 5.
Not so much that model showed in the article though...

personally the only seat ide get is the k1.
there nice, just not as nice as a golf IMO, the interior feels alot worse.
the only reason ide get a k1 would be for the power :evil:

Seat offer a lot of car for the money, I just don't like the styling. For looks the Golf wins hands down in every single department. Plus under the skin they're identical so it's more just a matter of price difference.

The thing for me is that the current Leon just feels big when you're in it. Felt more like a people carrier than a focused hot hatch when I was in it last.
And although I agree that the K1 looks brilliant (much better than the Focus RS), I don't really like that it's not actually special. It's the same engine (which isn't a bad thing altogether) but it's essentially just a bodykit rather than a special edition.
If only they had DSG in the top performer Leons.
