ok I know there's a seperate insurance section but nobody seems to have written anything in a couple years so looking for help here...
I'm 19 and have been driving 2 years as a named driver on my dads car, looking at buying a golf gt tdi 110 and have been quoted well over £3000 from basically everyone even Sky, Adrian Flux etc etc
can anybody help me find something not stupidly overpriced?!?!?!?!!?
many thanks
ps im a male and live in postcode pl26

You tried confused.com and compare the market?

Greenlight

I suppose at 19 with 0 NYCB trying to insure a 1.9 turbo is always going to be expensive. Insurers really don't care about named driver experience.

My first golf was one of the 90bhp diesel things...makes me feel sick that I drove it but I got 2 years NCB out of it when I was 19...

Damn think I will look into the 90bhp golfs, that's the sdi isn't it? What differences apart from bhp are there between the 110 gt TDi and the 90bhp golfs?

I don't think I could wheel spin in the SDI...

if you been a named driver on a policy for 2 yrs most insurance companys take that into account and usually give you 2 yrs bonus.

managed to get TPFT with Elephant for £1000 a year.
not bad for my age

And as soon as you build up some no claims it will come down a lot

People may disagree with me here but i passed my test at 21 and im now 25 and directline have always been the cheapest for me. If you can't afford it just get a basic tdi and lower it and put a gti kit on it
