Basically got a genuine used replacement cat for my mk3 project but its was off an earlier model and the lambda has a square connector with an external earth and my original is an oval connector which I assume is earthed into the loom. Just really need to know if they can be changed and if someone knows what wires go where.
P.s - My original lambda is seized in my knackered cat so can just swap them over.
The image shows my original on the left and my replacement on the right.

I'm hoping i can just cut and solder the wires in their same locations.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

cut and solder mate

Nice one mate cheers for that.
-
Take it easy with the soldering mate, lambdas are a bit sensitive to heat
-
Yeah will do mate....will solder it nearer the connector just in case.

Out of interest the two white wires could easily be mixed up, would that matter? What do they do?

Don't have a scooby mate, not an auto electrician by any means. Will solder them individually as to not mix them up though.
