Bonjour!
Looking to buy the next wee mod for the Gitty, and not sure what to go for. ITG enclosed intake, or the discharge pipe kit.
Any opinions on either? What's best bang for buck? Does the discharge kit actually do anything?

Intake for sure mate. Had a look at replacing the discharge pipe on mine when fiting the intercooler but although the OEM pipe is alot slimmer than the Neuspeed, i could not justify the money for it as there is no way i would notice the extra 2 bhp!

G-man , as just mentioned on the remap forum, Kenneth is your man for advice RE: mods for further remaps etc.
Like you I have the bluefin, stage 1 is great for the standard GiT but stage 2 or like Kenny's 300bhp, defo need modding i.e. cooling etc !!
As you can tell I'm a novice with all this stuff, but Kenneth did provide me with sound advice

I wouldnt waste the coin on the discharge pipe.
Im buying Sunday drivers ITG this weekend and they come highly reccomended especially if mapped.
Another great mod to consider is the WALK to get the most out of the power you have got and reduce wheelspin and TC intervention

That's decided it! What intake are you running on yours?

Cheers mate, the other post sat for weeks with no answer so thought I'd ask in here ...
I'll get an intake, then downpipe next - I'll only get an IC once I start to venture into stage 2 territory.

Suspension / handling mods will probably follow once out of warranty - if I've still got it. With the power mods, it's far easier to throw back to standard if something goes wrong ;o)

your warranty should be ok with suspension stuff. when i asked the dealers they said the only thing they didn't like to see were downpipes for some reason

Think it's just all down to the individual dealer tbh mate, my local VW garage are complete arses when it comes to mods.

I wouldn't buy a neuspeed down pipe either IMO
