Don't forget to use a new copper washer.
-
do i need a new wassher if im just letting oil out?
over filled it like an idiot....
-
Ideally. It's a soft copper washer which is squashed on tightening to provide a seal.
Obviously once used, it's not as effective the second time around.
-
New washer should come with a new sump bolt, which you should have, which should be magnetic too

....yeah i'm out of my depth.
Basically ive got to drive it to margate from sittingbourne (kent) for some work and i've overfilled the oil like a *beeeep* and need to let some out before i drive it....
...ideas?

No pun intended I assume, your only option is the sump plug, just loosen it and drain a little out. Dont fully remove it cos you wont get it back in without fully emptying your engine of oil.
