Hi wonder if any of you can help please?
I have just bought a mk 3 and the stereo doesnt turn off without me completely removing the face off.
I've phoned a local audio store who can do it for £40.
I just wondered if its something simple I can do myself?

Take the stereo out and you will find it wired to permanent live. If the original ignition live wire has been cut you can take a feed from somewhere close like the rear heated screen and use the permanent live already there. Easy job and should take about 10/15 mins

Cheers for that mate.
i've done some rewiring before but only using a haynes, which I dont have for this unfortunately.
Any chance you can give me a bit more detail? sorry to be a pain?
Like wire colours and location etc?

Live will be red the remote wire can be yellow of blue!

What make of stereo is it?
If it's a JVC, it has a mini blade fuse in the back of the head unit. This can fit in either one of two positions. Which one it's in will effect the way it turns off.
