whats the bhp on a standard mk3 gti 16v???

Kinda having an arguement with this one lol  :rolleyes:

150bhp top speed 134mph only 10mph faster than the 8v book of 124mph.. :laugh: :laugh:
 its the fact that the cars are heavy which kills the pig apparently.. :cry:  :cry:

Cheers count, i said they where 150, my mate recons they where 115, and i said that was the 8v.  :grin:

8v  = 115 bhp for an 85kw   @ 5400 rpm
16v= 150 bhp for a   110kw  @ 4800 rpm

8v   = 124 mph t/s
16v = 134 mph t/s

But you can get more than the stated top speeds out of them, so I am told lol

yeah well think we know that, even my 8v gets more then 124mph on a good dense cold air day.. :laugh: :laugh: not much more tho and thats standard. :laugh: it just takes time to get there.. :embarassed:
But thats what the manufacturers quote anyway.. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

i think mk4's came in 115bhp 16v form. correct? :undecided:

mines 8v n 115bhp, dont think they made mk 16v, instead they jumped to 1.8 20v

Mk4 GTI's:

2.0 8v = 115bhp
1.8 20v = 125bhp
1.8 20v Turbo = 150/180bhp
