Title: Exhaust rubbers
Post by: Lewizkid on 23 May 2005, 11:00
Hi,
Simple one i think, but thought i'd check with people...one of my exhaust rubbers has got up and left its home, leaving the exhaust rattling. I'm assuming that the rubbers are a generic part that can be bought anywhere like halfords?or are there particular VW parts? If it makes a difference its the mid section rubber thats gone.

Cheers

Lewis

I know VW do them, for only a few quid. And they will ensure they get the right one if there's any differences.

Just go in any exhaust place for the rubber. They'll sell you one cheapest, they might even give you one. (so to speak!)

Get some good ones from German and Swedish or from VW. I had generic ring type ones the three mounts for the back box, and they all snapped within two months of being fitted. They were also too large, causing a poor fit and knocking.
