Title: Mk2 GTI engine removal for engine bay maintenance.
Post by: manners on 21 February 2012, 17:06
Am looking to get the engine out of my 16V gti so I can clean the engine etc and also weld some parts in the bay.....does anyone know of or have a good guide for doing it, am fairly new to all this so anything that can point me in the right direction etc would be grand.

Cheers in advance

Don't put a time limit on the job take your time tie labels around connectors on the engine loom to remind u where they go, don't gO crazy taking bolts out and putting any where I used plastic cups with postit notes on telling you bolts are for gear box mounts, manifolds ect ect
