Title: Hopeful MK2 GTI owner seeking advice

Hi guys,

I'm looking to purchase a Golf MK2 Gti, 1.8 16v preferably. I'm here mainly for advice, being new to GTI ownership I could with some pointers when going to view cars. I know that some older Golfs have rust problems but if there are certain things that I should be looking out for, for example any common issues with older models, I would really appreciate your feedback.

Welcome to the forum and hopefully you will get some advice on what to buy....This is my second golf and must say they are good cars... :smiley:
