Title: help please passat 1.8t sport

emiions light came on yesturday on my 51 plate passat 1.8tsport 16706 ignition-distributor engine speed input signal circuit-no signal             

17536-long term fuel trim-system to lean [bank 1] 

doesnot feel like its missing so i am thinking alone the lines of sencors?? any help would be awsome

Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) active

Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor faulty
Oxygen Sensor Control faulty
Oxygen Sensor(s) faulty
Fuel Injector(s) faulty

Possible Solutions
Check Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor
Check Oxygen Sensor Control
Check Oxygen Sensor(s)
Check Fuel Injector(s)

I'd go for the mass air flow sensor first! Mine went a week or so back and had issues.

Sounds like the same symptom I had on the Aldi a couple of weeks ago. Said the same thing when I scanned it.

I looked around in the engine bay first and noticed that one of the little pipes on the inlet was hanging off at one end where it had perished. replaced the pipe and "hey presto" all was well  :cool:

Might not be the same problem but worth a look for nothing  :wink:

thanks for the advise guys have had a little look around it today cant see anything so going to try maf then replace lamdas as only just got the motor so i know there new that way, and go from there i guess got to do cambelt as well not looking forward to that one bit  :angry: :angry:
