Title: abf head water temp sensor

is there any way to put another temp sensor in on a abf head or do they have to go into one of the water pipes

reason i ask is i have a spare water temp gauge i want to put in just to be on safe side

Hmmm..  I had this problem,  i had a brass threaded sender,  but the golf is a plastic type thing, I eventually added in a small section of metal pipe where the top rad pipe meets the head and threaded it into that.  I cut the silicone hose and added it in there.  Might be somewhere better on the valver engine, but couldnt find any other way in the 8v.

cheers m8 i think thats what im goin to have to do i have found a spare hole on the head but its just a hole with thread init so its not going to be in the water to tell the temp

any one know the diameter of the top hose on a abf ?
