Post by: packardjc on 16 February 2012, 07:21
If you're religious, pray for me. If you're an athiest (like me) then just rub my head and tell me everything is going to be ok.

It'll be fine. Mine only failed on a number plated bulb. When i changed it the police spoke to me as i had a screwdriver by my car.

I was like "just changing the bulb on MY car"

His response was " ah well, can't nick you for that"

Yeah, i'd f**king well hope not lol

Ha! Failed. Needs welding underneath cause there's holes (wonderful), needs exhaust welding and needs a tyre. I hate it. I want rid in May and this is a joke.

Patch it up, floor pans are a wear and tear item on the MK3 lol,   so is a tyre and exhaust,  pretty good going really.  shouldnt set you back too much for a bit of plating!

The rusted holes underneath are prob around the rubber drainage bungs, common prob. I would do all the prep work myself ie remove carpets etc to keep the cost down.

I can't weld haha! It's cool my mate is going to do it in his lunch hour at work on Sat (he's a mechanic) so it'll cost a crate of beer. Although if it's a bigger job than one lunchtime he says he'll have to do it in the shop meaning £40 p/h

Must be one of the bungs near the suspension mountings to fail, should not take to long to sort
