okay so i have a recaro speed seat that i got on ebay anyone know where i can get a frame to mount it?

 also while i was driving glasgow to essex and back to pick up this seat the golf ran rather cold it barley touched 80 degrees unless i was stationary, anyone know why?

Is that the temp gauge reading or the oil temp on the MFA?

The temp gauge reading gets lower as the sensor gets old, a new black sensor can sort that. But its would be worth checking that the cooling system is working well. \i think there is a good guide in the maintenance section somewhere

Sounds like your thermostat could be sticking open.

As for the seat.  Contact a Recaro dealer and prepare to pay about £150+ for the mounting kit.  It's the only way to do it properly and safely.

it could be thermostat as i just put a brand new water pump in it, the seats are sftermarket seats from recaro the origional invoice says they were £308 plus vat i got it for £180 on ebay.
