Well as some of you may know my Anni went in the garage for a new clutch last Wednesday......eventually picked it up late yesterday afternoon with a bill for 250 quid !!!! So today I went to the local tyre and exhaust centre to get them to have a look at my exhaust which is quite loud. The chap tells me he does not want to mess with the car as it has a performance cat fitted and the entire exhaust has been fabricated to fit the car. So basically it means weld a new centre section in or change the entire exhaust or put up with it. So I decided to put up with it. So off I go back to work. Come out this afternoon and on the way I can smell burning clutch and the car starts juddering as I pull away in the traffic. Then it seems like the clutch is stuck on and I find it difficult to stop !!!! Then the bloody clutch goes bang and now I have no pedal and cannot get into gear. I can't even get the bloody car up my drive now !!!!! Getting fed up with the car now

Does not sound good with the clutch  maybe the release arm has broken.

Deano, is the clutch all the way to the floor? Sounds like you're having a tough time, sorry to hear.

As I was driving I could smell the clutch burning and as the traffic was moving mine was juddering as I pulled away. Over a length of half a mile max the car then felt like the clutch pedal was stuck down and I had trouble stopping. Then as I turned into my street I could not engage any gears and had to stall it. The pedal is now limp and stuck around the halfway mark. I can start the car but no gears. Done a grand total of approx 12 miles on this clutch and had enough of having my car off the road.

Sounds like the garage has messed something up :lipsrsealed:

It's not your car mate. It's the garage. Tell them what's happened and politely tell them that they should put it right!

Already planned to ring the garage up but could just do without losing the car for a few days again   Now got to use the Missus's 206 again !!!!!!
-
Sounds like it is sticking, good luck with getting it sorted

Wrong assembly or the wrong clutch fitted and it is sticking on the splines.

Rung the garage this morning and full credit to them they collected the car within the hour. Rang them this afternoon and apparantly it was a faulty clutch. Replacement coming tomorrow and being fitted straight away so all going well today and also had a job interview that went very well

Fingers crossed it all works out ok then Dean :afro:
