Title: Need gearbox parts suppliers for my 020 gearbox

Hi there i'm having gearbox problems with my 020 box its noisy in reverse and 1st an2nd syncro are on there way out to i'm going to strip the box down and do a rebuild i'm a vehicle technician so know what to do i've stripped loads of box's in my time,i'm after gearbox parts suppliers i've found fast track bearings so got some parts but need suppliers for the syncros and other parts so can anyone help me with any companies you know any info will be a help......thanks for your time    Rik

P.S   i drive an R reg 98  mk3 golf gti 2.0L 8v........

dont know if this helps or were you live but a have a 2nd hand gearbox out of a mk2 golf gti (should be same box) that you can have for cheap - 30.00 plus you arrange courier

When doing an overhall, i usually get the parts from the dealer, I have not tried these other companies to be honnest but i hear good things..   Im also a tech and do a fair few rebuilds, i only replace what is needed, i havnt found any full kits.   1/2 syncro hub comes with both syncro rings,   same with 3/4 i think, i forget the order now, but i usually order the hub complete with the main and counter shaft bearings with the roller bearings for the gears, replace the reverse idler too, you will have a chipped tooth, the shafts usually stand up to the abuse the broken tooth gives them.  Oh and to the DIFF MOD!!   fit the bolts rarther than those awfull rivets.

P.S   gonna do the repair myself so don't need secondhand box but thanks anyway......

From what i remember (this was a while ago) the 1/2 syncro hub was £85 ish, which is a fair price for a dealer, this was about 3 years ago though.  The other hubs would be a similar price.
