Title: Hello from another newbee !
Post by: Anthony on 13 February 2012, 20:33
Hello, ive had my 2003 mk4 gti diesel 150bhp now for a couple of years and love it, had to put a new cam and followers in about 10k ago but i think thats common on the 150bhp car. its the 6 speed and is ideal quick enough and economical, i did have a 350bhp scooby but it was far to expensive on fuel, so had to go.and ive never looked back since.
Ive just put 4 x new genuine struts on as the ride was very bumpy, Iknow the gti have slightly lower stiffer suspension, but with 18" r32 wheels the ride is to harsh for me (must be getting old !) and i'm looking to put some genuine 16" on so if anybody has any for sale get in touch or wants a set of 18" r32  style wheels they will shortly be for sale. Ive seen a set on ebay from a new golf it says size is 6.5jx16 112 et50 the seller says they fit but i'm not convinced can anybody shed any light ?
Ive worked in the a bodyshop for the last 11years so i'm happy to help out with any questions about bodywork.
cheers Anthony
