-
flush coolent system if coolent/oil mixed

also put heaters on full blast on windscreen might have a airlock
-
cheers mate i'll give it a go now and let you know how i get on
-
i've tried all the above but still no joy, i also flushed the heater matrix and refilled the water system but when i feel the matrix pipes one is hot and the other is cold. is there anyway i can force the air locks?
-
did oil/water mix in the expansion bottle sounds like blockage or air lock
-
if no joy at end of day take for a spin with heaters full blast park up take cap off slowly and leave to cool over night trapped air will escapeas cools down
-
yeah the oil got into the water. how do i get a blockage out, do i flush it with a hose pipe?

taken from another site while searching but never done this before:
Simply mix a solution of 50% bleach and 50% water. Drain the vehicles cooling system and then refill with the new mixture. Run engine until at normal operating temp and then switch off. When engine has cooled sufficiently, drain and refill with the correct antifreeze/ water mixture. The cooling system of your engine will have been thoroughly cleaned by this method (as recommended by Vauxhall).
