Title: First GTi
Post by: GreyVILLAn on 11 February 2012, 00:10
Hi, finally got my first Golf GTi (mk6) at last.
Previously had a Renault Clio 200 and the 197 before.
Great cars but this Golf is in a total different league.
Will post pictures in MK6 section asap.

Welcome chap, I dont own a gti yet but have had something french in the past. 1 thing you'll proberbly notice straight away is that the car wont shake itself apart when you hit a cats eye in the road!

Hi the_hamster, gotta say, don't know what the past Renaults were like but the last 2 Ive
owned were great, the Clio 197 and 200 were great handling fun cars, build quality must of improved
cause they never had the shakes.
You don't own a GTi yet ?
WHAT YOU WAITING FOR ?

Hi welcome to the forum. Have to agree that the most recent Clio's (the 197 and 200) are great little cars. I can't say they impressed in terms of comfort or 'nice feel' inside but they certainly seemed to be well enough glued together when I had a go in them.

Many happy miles motoring in the GTI.
