.....what BHP output is the 1.8 turbo? Is it the same engine as the golf? Ive been offered one cheap and am thinking about buying it. :smiley:

150bhp or 180bhp, same basic engine as the Golf but it is north / south fitment and not transverse

Early ones are all 150bhp i believe.
As Wayne said, the engine is inline rather than transverse.
