Title: Vauxhall Corsa question
Post by: The Mighty Elvi on 10 February 2012, 10:52
My sister has one of these monstrosities, and a diesel to boot!

Corsa D, the new shape one, it's 2 years old, had if from new, Full Vauxhall service history.

She called the AA out yesterday as it wouldn't start. AA man said aux timing belt self adjusting pulley needs replacing asap.

I haven't seen the car yet, but seems odd for such a new car.

I've done a quick search but not much about this.

Now does anyone work for Vauxhall and can ask about this to see if she can get it done under warranty (known fault) or cheap as an act of good customer service.

Thanks.

Not yet.  She phoned a dealer yesterday who said they would charge £35 + per half hour just to look at it.

Passed on what you said and I am waiting to hear back from her.

Keep you posted.

Jonathan.

FYI

Tensioner pulley  and new belt fitted FOC under warranty by Vauxhall dealership in Ammanford.

FRF Vauxhall in Swansea customer service is shocking (where she bought the car) so she took it to Ammanford (she had her last service done by them)

No problem, no quibble. Tidy darts.
