Title: Can a coolant temp sensor not work and not show a vag error
Post by: carpetviper on 08 February 2012, 20:55
I have just ran out of petrol after doing 35 miles on £15.

So I have been looking into possible causes for this shocking mpg and I wondered if it could be the coolant temp sensor.

I have already fitted a new maf sensor and a new lambda.

I have done a vag reading and not come up with any errors and it has just passed the mot last week so emmissions should be ok.

Which coolant sensor would I need.

vag-com wont show a faulty temp sensor, there's a couple and you need to check the colour to get the correct one (remove look and push back in)
