the sqeek/creek happens when i lift my clutch and start to pull its quite loud.

also theres a funny smell coming from the engine since this happend today.

i'm no expert but if it is that then its essentially the same labour wise as changing the clutch, you can get a LUK release bearing for about £10, from vw I think they are more like £40.

Does it drive ok? is it ok releasing the clutch when youre driving or is there noise then? do you get a judder or anything or purely the noise?

The car drives ok, no juddering or anything. just the noise when lifting the clutch

its an engine mount known as a dogbone you can buy uprated bushes for them aswell, just get a couple of new bolts and change the bush wouldnt bother with one from scrappy.

the actual bracket is broke at one side so a new bolt would just go right threw

Well, that's a nice cheap fix :)

You should be able to fit one from any mk4, a3, s3, TT, r32 etc etc etc. I have an s3 one on mine.

I do have a polybushed spare actually but assume you want to sort it today!

You could use a tdi, Gti or R32 one mate.
I would then polybush it which is about £20 posted and 5mins of your time..
