Hi all,
Can anybody tell me if a steering rack from a seat Leon cupra fr would fit a 1.8t golf (agu)
Cheers
-
from a mk1 leon cupra r it will yes..... you'd need to take the track rods/end off your rack and swap them over.
-
is it a short rack on the leon ?
-
Edit . Quickrack
-
yea, on the cupra r
-
ah i see lol

It's not a cupra R its a cupra fr  getting it for £80 so hope it fits
-
lol ok, didnt even know there was a cupra fr? I had a new shape diesel fr 170 but not sure about the older shape and its varients other than cupra and cupra r.
if it does fit then its not a quickrack.

Sounds like the new shape / mk2 in which case I don't think it will fit also might be worth checking if it is any better ratio than standard.
Only the TT / LCR and S3 had the quicker rack as standard.

It's the 180 bhp model, thought it was called a cupra FR, might just be called an FR but is a mk4 based platform car

Leon mk1 is VW A4 platform, mk2 is VW A5 (Golf mk5 etc) they are very different cars, I think the FR model name was only used on the mk2 cars so it may not fit.

Hope this link works  it's one of these But a 1.8t not a TDI

So the question remains is it a quicker ratio rack against the standard 1.8 :undecided:
