Title: Quick one... Tdi clutch
Post by: Li-D on 07 February 2012, 16:55
Got a 98 tdi 'ahu', clutch started slipping now and then last week, now its not!

Are these auto adjusting or manual and how many miles does a clutch last in average?

Mines just going onto 129k has full service history but cant see a clutch change in it?

Clutch bite is at the top incase its not meant to be there!

I think you looking at a new clutch, it is auto adjusting cable but can only adjust so much.

Well now I know its auto adjusting, and it looks like it hasnt been changed in the service history, looks like it will hopefully be getting done weekend.

And can a clutch original or not last 130k????

All TDIs are cable-change 02A.

Lesser diesels are 020 gearbox equipped.
