Hi,
So I need a new PAS pump as mine is leaking, I was going to get a new one but thinking of getting rid of the golf so I'll stick a used one on for now.
My question, I can see two differences in the structure of the pumps for various mk4's, i.e the hose connection, one has a curve and one is a straight exit. Do they all have the same mounting brackets and connections? Are the pulleys the same? I know some operate at a different pressure too, I've seen 90 and 100 ones, I know mine is a 90 bar and has the curved pipe connection. The brand of mine is the same as this one (KYB?), as is the hose connection

The ones i've seen look like they have the same mountings and i'd imagine the hose connectors are the same size....? Just didnt want to buy one and it doesnt fit for whatever reason....

What car do you have, if it is a 1.8t, then I am sure both the ones in the links will not fit.
-
yes a 1.8t, they were more to show the brand (if it does say KYB as i've never heard of them) and the hose connection is the same.
The mounting points do look exactly the same too.
technically this is probably the one that is on mine

which at a glance looks the same as the above.

furthermore, this looks identical to the one above (I think) but is a higher bar which is my main reason for asking.

I'll go to the nearest vw breakers and see what pumps they have and physically compare them.
-
i have one off an AGU and one off an AUM if theyre any good to you?
-
Thanks, the breakers down here only want £15 for one so wouldn't be economical with postage and packing. Thanks though.
