Anyone interested in helping with this? Let me know and I'll pass on the contact details :)
I work for a company called Central Youth Theater in Wolverhampton. I’m in need of classic cars from a range of periods including 50- 90s. We are producing a comedy short based around the life of a Morris Traveller and its owner. The students on the film course are aged 10-19 and are working with professional script editors, cameraman and producers to bring the project together.
Part of my role is to source locations and props. The biggest props I have at present to find are a selection of vintage cars from the above periods. I am currently looking for a GTI type car from the 90s and would like a Golf GTI really. We are shooting in Wolverhampton and the provisional date would be the 17th February.
These cars would not be driven they are for background use only and if they were driven the owners would do this.
This short 9 minute feature will be shown at the Lighthouse in Wolverhampton on the 11th March 2012. The project is funded by First Light and is part of the British Film Institute.
I was hoping you had connections to Golf car owners in the West Midlands or could point me in the right direction to help me source people that would be interested in having their classic car featured in something like this.

I'll ask my mate if he's still got his mk2 only live in penn, wolverhampton

There are a couple of really nice standard or near standard MK2s on here, bet they are nowhere near the shoot though. Thinking about it though the request is for a 90s GTI............ Standard MK3???? :lipsrsealed:

I think it's more about having a decent enough looking GTI and be available than worrying too much about anything else. Yes, 90's could mean mk2, 3 or 4!

Blue MK3 any good? :lipsrsealed:
-
well are you available to be in Wolverhampton on the 17th?

Thank God for that, the request was for a decent enough looking GTI, which sadly rules out any mk3. :lipsrsealed:
