Hi every one cars been strugling to start for a while so i finaly sort of got vag com working, scanned it and it come up with engine speed sensor....so changed it today for a new one, the old one was shagged all the wiring was hanging out the sensor!

So fitted new sensor put it all back together went to fire her up and it turns over but doesnt start, scanned it with vag com and come up with this fault

00513 - Engine Speed Sensor (G28)
16-10 - signal out side specifications - Intermittent

Am i missing any thing? cleared the fault but it just comes back up! any advice would be great

Start the car and scan it. iirc, if the car is switched off when scanned, this will always come up. Should clear and stay off when running.
